Michael Barth Joins SAFEbuilt
SAFEbuilt, Inc. has recently added Michael Barth to lead their new office in South Seattle. SAFEbuilt also has an office in Richland, Washington. Michael Barth

Barth, most recently the Chief Building Official for Kitsap County Washington, started his new position on October 31, 2008.  “Barth has an outstanding technical background, and tremendous enthusiasm for the building department industry,” says David Thomsen, Vice President, SAFEbuilt.  “We are honored that he has joined our team.”

Barth is an ICC Certified Master Code Professional, Building Official and Building Code Official.  He is an active member of the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) and serves on the Technical Codes Development and Legislative Committees.  Prior to his work in the public sector, Barth owned his own general contractor business.

SAFEbuilt provides full-service building department programs, building code plan reviews, complete project support and building code inspections for cities, towns, counties and state agencies.  Government agencies often look to outsource all or part of the building department function because of shifts in the economy, unique project
expertise, reduced liability and risk, and guaranteed revenue retention.
